Plus size woman and family at Knott’s Berry Farm

My family and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Knott’s Berry Farm. My daughter is 7 and my son is 2. We went with very little knowledge about the park. I did research whether Knott’s was plus size friendly before going and found a lot of mixed reviews with the majority saying it isn’t which of course made me nervous. For size reference, I am a size 22 in US women’s clothes.

Being that I was going with two small children, I knew we would be spending most of our time in Camp Snoopy and enjoying the experiences. Therefore, if you are looking for information on Knott’s Berry Farm as a plus size person who wants to know more about the adult rides, I won’t be able to help you there. Upon arrival to the park, we noticed that the parking lot was a walking distance to the entrance which we liked. The parking lot is on a public street so be sure to take any valuables with you from your car.

I was able to fit on a few rides in Camp Snoopy which was fine for me. I knew going in thanks to research that the rides were older. They do have signs at certain rides that say “May not accommodate guests of a larger size”. During my visit, I was able to fit on the following rides:

Balloon Race
Calico railroad
Hat dance
Rocky Mountain
Bumper cars

The rides I couldn’t fit on, my husband took the kids on. Now I know what you’re thinking, Cassie that is literally 5 rides. Did you still even enjoy the trip?

And the answer is YES. Knott’s Berry Farm is a park that is more about experiences and that is where I thrived. We visited the old School house, gave Snoopy a hug and took photos, played games at the arcade and boulevard, are at Ghost Town Grill, saw the live animals, watched some amazing live performances, visited sad-eye Joe in his jail cell, explored some museums, built an animal at Build a Bear, and of course ended our night with the infamous Mrs. Knott’s chicken dinner restaurant!

If you are a plus size individual who is nervous about taking your young children to Knott’s, don’t be! There was plenty to do and we had an amazing time and made some awesome memories! I felt very fulfilled at the end of the day.
